There’s so much to see and do in the Barossa and surrounds. Find out what’s on during your stay with this round-up of local and regional events and festivals curated by The Louise team.
The Louise offers specialist events throughout the year including our popular wine weekend in partnership with Yalumba and a musical interlude with the Australian String Quartet. Our neighbouring Barossa wineries host mouth-watering food and wine affairs while just down the road, Wonderground Barossa and JamFactory hold frequent exhibitions. At the weekly Barossa Farmers’ Market, you can purchase the freshest local produce direct from growers. November is welcomed each year with a sunset street party on Seppeltsfield Road’s famous Avenue of Palms while January sees the spectacle that is the Santos Tour Down Under speed through the region.

Bringing together over 20 printmakers from around Australia, ‘The Printmaker’s Mark’ exhibition at Wonderground explores the diverse, vital and broadly different approaches celebrating the distinctive mark and legacy of printmaking. Visit Wonderground Barossa for details.
What: Prohibition Distilling Co. Pop-Up Cellar Door
Where: Seppeltsfield Estate, Barossa
When: Open on Friday, Saturday and Sundays from 11.30am – 5pm
Prohibition has launched a pop-up gin bar inside the old distillery, with access to the picturesque lawns where many Seppelt’s Family estate barbecues were held. Cue the G&Ts, tasting paddles and some great new release gins. Head over to Prohibition Liquor Co for information.

Acclaimed chef Clare Falzon is in deep prep mode ahead of the spring opening of her new restaurant, staguni, set to be the flagship eatery for a new food and arts precinct in a former 1922 brick schoolhouse (a brainchild of the clever folk from Wonderground Barossa). Get set for a menu connected to seasonality, land and community, influenced by Mediterranean cooking and flavours from Clare’s Maltese heritage. Follow staguni to whet your appetite.

Easter 2025 is when the Barossa transforms into a playground of grape stomping, family-friendly fun, street parades, harvest gatherings and long table feasts – it’s the absolute best way to celebrate vintage season.
