Our Policies

Essential information for reading prior to your stay.

  • Maximum occupancy

    Per suite in existing bedding
    Stonewell Suite: 3

  • Check in / Check out times

    Check-in time is from 2pm. Check-out time is 10.30am. Where possible, flexibility with early check-in and late check-out will be provided, however, these are unable to be guaranteed. The facilities of the main lodge are available for enjoyment whilst at the property.

  • Rates and inclusions

    Rates quoted are per suite per night in Australian Dollars (AUD) and inclusive of 10% goods and services tax (GST). A stay at The Louise is inclusive of gourmet breakfast, pre-dinner drinks and canapés, dinner in Appellation, selected in-suite bar and use of lodge facilities.

  • Extra person rate

    Extra Person Rate applies when staying in the same suite with a minimum of two guests (subject to maximum suite occupancy).

  • Payment policy

    A credit card is required to confirm a reservation. Full prepayment is required one month prior to arrival. We accept Visa, Mastercard or American Express or direct deposit. Payments by Visa or Mastercard attract a 1.6% surcharge; payment by American Express attracts a 2.47% surcharge (surcharges subject to change).

  • Cancellation policy

    Bookings may be cancelled prior to one month from arrival without forfeiture. For cancellations within one month of arrival all monies will be forfeited. No refund can be given in the event of non-arrival, any unused services or unused nights due to flight and/or weather disruption. We recommend you protect yourself with travel insurance.

  • Peak season deposit policy

    All bookings over the Christmas/New Year period, 24 December 2022 to 2 January 2023 inclusive must be secured with a non-refundable deposit of one night’s accommodation within 14 days of reservation.

  • Airport transfers

    A private car service (including with a foreign language tour guide on request) is available to meet guests at the domestic or international arrivals hall at the airport or at the General Aviation Terminal for private charters.

  • Travelling well during a pandemic

    It’s wonderful to be able to travel again after a pause due to the pandemic and we’re looking forward to welcoming you to stay at Baillie Lodges.   • Child policy

    The Louise welcomes children ten years and over.

  • Group policy

    At The Louise a group is defined as five or more suites travelling together. As an intimate property, some special conditions apply to group bookings.

  • Special dietary requirements

    As The Louise is situated in a remote destination, it’s essential to advise any special dietary needs at the time of reservation. We will do our best to tailor menus accordingly whilst providing opportunity to enjoy a diverse range of premium regional produce. Should notice not be provided in advance, our chefs will endeavour to prepare suitable meals with the ingredients available. We regret we are unable to prepare meals requiring strict religious observance in the preparation.

How do I get there?

Around an hour’s drive northeast of South Australia’s capital and travel gateway Adelaide, the Barossa is easily accessed by self-driving. Private vehicle transfers can also be arranged with pickups at the airport or railways stations.
