Wildlife to Winery package terms

All flights are additional and may be booked by guests; Qantas operates direct flights between Adelaide and Kangaroo Island. Minimum four-night stay, with two nights at The Louise in a Stonewell Suite and two nights at Southern Ocean Lodge in a Flinders Suite. All rates quoted in Australian Dollars and inclusive of 10% GST. Rates apply per suite, for a maximum of two guests. Guests may choose to upgrade their suite type or extend their stay at an additional charge. Additional person rate applies for more than two people sharing a suite (based on select suite types). Subject to availability, not combinable with any other offer.

  • Maximum Occupancy

  • Check In / Check Out Times

    Check-in time is from 2pm. Check-out time is 10.30am. Where possible, flexibility with early check-in and late check-out will be provided, however, these are unable to be guaranteed. The facilities of the main lodge are available for enjoyment whilst at the property.

  • Rates and Inclusions

    Rates quoted are per suite per night in Australian Dollars (AUD) and inclusive of 10% goods and services tax (GST). A stay at The Louise is inclusive of gourmet breakfast, pre-dinner drinks and snacks, dinner in Appellation with matched wines, selected in-suite bar and use of lodge facilities.

  • Extra Person Rate

    Extra Person Rate applies when staying in the same suite with a minimum of two guests (subject to maximum suite occupancy).

  • Airport Transfers

    A private car service (including with a foreign language tour guide on request) is available to meet guests at the domestic or international arrivals hall at the airport or at the General Aviation Terminal for private charters.

  • Special Dietary Requirements

    As The Louise is situated in a remote destination, it’s essential to advise any special dietary needs at the time of reservation. We will do our best to tailor menus accordingly whilst providing opportunity to enjoy a diverse range of premium regional produce. Should notice not be provided in advance, our chefs will endeavour to prepare suitable meals with the ingredients available. We regret we are unable to prepare meals requiring strict religious observance in the preparation.

  • Payment Policy

    A credit card is required to confirm a reservation. Full prepayment is required one month prior to arrival. We accept Visa, Mastercard or American Express or direct deposit. Payments by Visa, Mastercard and American Express attract a 1.6% surcharge (surcharges subject to change).

  • Peak Season Deposit Policy

    All bookings over the Christmas/New Year period, 24 December – 2 January inclusive must be secured with a non-refundable deposit of one night’s accommodation within 14 days of reservation.

  • Cancellation Policy

    Bookings outside of festive season may be cancelled or amended prior to one month from arrival without forfeiture.

    A non-refundable deposit applies to all bookings around the Christmas and New Year period (24 December – 2 January inclusive). Cancellations or amendments from booking date up until one month to arrival will result in forfeiture of the deposit.

    Cancellations and booking amendments received within one month of arrival forfeit all monies paid.

    No refunds or credits can be given in the event of non-arrival, any unused services, or unused nights due to travel and/or weather disruption. For peace of mind, we recommend you protect yourself with comprehensive travel insurance to cover any cancellation fees.

  • Child Policy

    The Louise welcomes children ten years and over.

  • Group Policy

    At The Louise a group is defined as five or more suites travelling together. As an intimate property, some special conditions apply to group bookings. View our leisure group policy.

  • Property Disclaimer and Guest Liability

    Limitation of Liability

    The Louise shall not be liable for any loss of or damage to a guest’s property which is:

    Caused or contributed to by the negligence of the guest or a reason of the type listed in the preceding paragraph; or not promptly reported to The Louise.

    On discovery, The Louise shall not be liable for loss of or damage to a guest’s property except when proved to be caused through the negligence or willful misconduct of The Louise.

    The Louise does not accept any liability for loss or damage to a guest’s vehicle unless caused by The Louise negligence or willful misconduct.

    Guests shall be liable for any loss, damage or personal injury they may cause at The Louise.

    The Louise may engage appropriate transfers operators and other providers to coordinate and provide certain services. The transfer operators and other providers are solely responsible for and liable for providing their respective services. Guests are also subject to specific terms and conditions imposed by other providers.

    Property Disclaimer

    The Louise is set in a natural environment containing fauna and flora that may be dangerous if at close contact. Whilst every effort is made by the staff and management of The Louise to ensure the safety of its guests, guests acknowledge as a condition of making their bookings that neither The Louise nor any of its staff shall be liable for the death or injury of any of its guests or for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage whatsoever (save where caused by the negligence or willful misconduct of The Louise) suffered by any of its guests arising out of or in connection with use of the facilities and activities offered by The Louise, in particular (but not limited to) these involving wildlife, and the guest, by making a booking, releases The Louise and its staff from all or any such liability.

    Lost Property

    Where items belonging to guests have been found by a member of The Louise personnel, and where the owner can be clearly identified, guests will be contacted and any confirmed item returned to them by registered mail. In the event the owner of any found item cannot be identified it will be logged and held in security for a period of three months. If after this period the owner of the lost article has not contacted the property or has otherwise been identified, the article will be disposed of. In the event the lost article may be of tangible benefit, the lost article will be given to a local charity organization after the three month period has lapsed.

    Force Majeure

    The Louise shall not be liable for failure or delay in delivering obligations under the booking contract if the cause of the failure or delay is due to reasons beyond its control. These include, but are not limited to: war or threat of war, civil or political action or disturbance, riot, natural disaster, fire, epidemic, bad weather, terrorist activity (threatened or actual), military activity, governmental or regulatory action, industrial dispute, failure of power or machinery, failure of or interruption in externally provided services and utilities. All bookings are subject to availability, and The Louise shall be entitled to refuse any booking on reasonable grounds.
