This May, you’re invited to join The Louise and Maggie Beer for Table for All, a joyful weekend of gathering, cooking and feasting in the Barossa Valley. Over two nights and three days, you’ll share generous tables, market mornings and hands‑on food experiences with one of Australia’s most beloved cooks in the region she calls home.

Maggie’s Table for All places Maggie’s heartfelt, flavor‑first approach at the center of the experience – from a welcome dinner at Appellation to a day at the Maggie Beer Farm Shop and Eatery, featuring a cooking demonstration, lunch and time to wander the farm and explore its selection of sauces, stocks and pantry favorites. It’s a chance to spend unhurried time in Maggie’s world, hearing stories from the Pheasant Farm days to today while tasting the dishes and ingredients for which she’s known.

Your stay at The Louise during the Table for All weekend also directly supports the Maggie Beer Foundation, which works to improve food experiences and nutrition for older Australians, especially those living in aged care. Through chef‑led training, mentoring and education programs for cooks and care teams, the Foundation helps kitchens around the country serve food that is not only nourishing but also delicious, dignified and full of flavor. A portion of every stay contributes to The Louise’s donation to the Foundation, meaning each shared plate across the weekend has a ripple effect far beyond the Barossa.

Itinerary

  • May 22, 2026 – Arrival, Swirl Sessions and Maggie’s Table

Arrive at The Louise from early afternoon and be welcomed by our General Manager Hannah McCormick and the lodge team. The afternoon is yours to settle into your suite, wander the surrounding vines or simply unwind into Barossa time.

In the afternoon, ease into Maggie’s Table for All weekend with the relaxed ‘Swirl Sessions,’ a wine tasting hosted by Hentley Farm. It’s a chance to meet the winemakers, discover Hentley Farm wines, connect with fellow guests and start the rich conversation around Barossa wine and food.

As the sun softens over the vineyards, you’ll gather for welcome drinks and canapés at The Louise hosted by Maggie Beer. With a glass in hand and something savory from the kitchen, it’s an intimate introduction to Maggie’s world and the stories that have shaped her love of cooking.

Dinner follows at Appellation, where a four‑course tasting menu is hosted by Maggie Beer and paired with Barossa wines. Expect generous, produce‑driven dishes, clever use of pantry staples and plenty of conversation about flavor, comfort and the simple joys of sharing a meal.

  • May 23, 2026 – Market Morning, Cooking with Maggie and a Barossa Feast

Begin your day with breakfast at leisure in Appellation, with time to enjoy coffee, freshly baked pastries and fine local produce as the valley wakes.

You’ll then head to the Barossa Farmers Market for the Barossa Basket experience. Over coffee and a guided wander, you’ll meet stallholders, sample what’s in season and help select ingredients that will inspire the evening’s menu – a true market-to-menu moment.

After a short return to The Louise for time at leisure, the focus shifts to Maggie’s own Barossa Valley home base. A transfer takes you to the Maggie Beer Farm Shop, where you’ll be welcomed into the kitchen at The Eatery for a cooking demonstration that weaves together Maggie’s favorite flavors, tips and techniques. There’s plenty to taste, and lots of ideas to take back to your own kitchen.

Lunch follows, where guests gather around long tables to enjoy the fruits of their labor in a seasonal menu that celebrates the best of South Australian produce.
Next, enjoy a hosted wine tasting and dessert in The Farm Shop cellar door, followed by time at leisure to browse the shelves, walk the farm and soak up the atmosphere at your own pace.

Pre‑dinner drinks back at The Louise ease into a relaxed night at Contour, where a ‘feed me’ style dining experience showcases the market‑fresh produce you helped select that morning, transformed as a menu of flavorful shared dishes by The Louise Executive Chef Sam Cooper.

  • May 24, 2026 – Slow Mornings and Fond Farewells

Breakfast is served at leisure in Appellation, leaving time for a slow start, a last wander through the vines or a quiet coffee overlooking the bucolic Barossa landscape.

An optional cocktail masterclass at Maggie’s daughter Elli Beer’s Barossa Gin Lab just down the road invites you to mix, shake and taste your way through locally inspired drinks (additional charge applies).

Depart at your own pace, with the option to extend your Barossa stay or continue your journey feeling inspired, well fed and having made a meaningful contribution to the
    Maggie Beer Foundation.
